After a long day of school, pizza was just what Jordan had been craving. Mona Lisa's was known for having the best pizza in town and he knew there was a lot of truth to that. Not to mention it was dirt cheap, two slices and a soda for only three fifty. That was damn cheap considering that they lived in California, despite not being in Los Angeles or anywhere equally as cool.

Taking a right turn and strolling into Mona Lisa's, he ordered his slices and took a seat in one of the booths by the front windows. He'd purposely sat there so he could people watch - one of his favorite past times.

It didn't take long before he was chowing down on his slices, not taking the time to chew, but basically inhaling them. Not only was he an active teenage male - but he was also a Werewolf. The kid ate a lot of food. He'd already eaten breakfast and lunch with several snacks in between those two. Even as he finished the last bite of his Pepperoni-Sausage slice, he still felt kinda hungry. He decided he'd just eat more at dinner, though, and didn't order any more pizza.

Instead, he simply slurped down on his soda and watched all of the people walk by the shop.

Jordan was on lock down for cutting class. He had to stay home the three remaining nights of the week. At least they weren't making it go into the weekend, though. His parents were good people. His mother Marcy was a school teacher who taught kindergarten. His father Lee was a garbage man. They didn't live the most luxious of lives but they were always warm, clothed, and fed. That's all that mattered anyways. Plus even after learning of what Jordy had become, they hadn't stopped loving him, had never turned him away. In fact - they built him a nice cage in the basement. It was steel reinforced bars to lock him inside during the full moons. Although he'd been a Wolf for thirteen years now, he wasn't one hundred percent in control of himself. Most of it, from what his dad told him, would come with age. Not that his dad could truly know that, being human and all, but it made sense.

Even though it was only a few nights of grounding - Jordy was going absolutely nuts. Seated at the dinner table around his parents, he listened to them idly talk about their days. His fork dug into his plate of turkey, mashed potatoes and corn. He spun it around to mix everything together and took a large bite. Gulp. Another bite. Gulp. All the while, never really speaking. Sometimes they drove him nuts. Nice people, but slightly wacko. Y'know, in an endearing kind of way.

About halfway through their meal, a scent hit his nose. Jordy perked up at the dinner table, dropping his fork to his place. "Jordan honey, what is it?" asked his mother, though he ignored her. Pushing back from the table he semi-jogged over to the front door and pulled it open to see Oz's fist two feet from knocking. A large smile spread across his face. "Oz?" he asked, throwing his arms around his cousin and dragging him into the house in a gigantic bear hug. "How ya been man? And where ya been?" he asked in his typical spaz manner. His mother peeked her head around the corner to see what the commotion was about before coming in and hugging him herself. "Daniel! It's so nice to see you, son" she told him with a bright smile as Jordy's dad soon followed suit.

Field trip, really? On one hand they were probably getting a little old for field trips. On the other hand, any way he could get out of class he was good with. Although he wasn't a bad student, he also wasn't the greatest. With about a B average, he made it through without getting into too much trouble with his parents. Jordan was actually pretty dang smart. But - he had ADD. Really bad ADD actually that prevented him from concentrating on something for too long. Most of the time, girls distracted him....He felt like a ladies man but truth be told, he'd never even had a real girlfriend. Not since grade school anyways, and that didn't necessarily count.

Hopping off the school bus with the rest of his group, he couldn't help but notice how pretty a few of the girls were. Honestly - he didn't even know their names. However he was pretty dang determined to find them out by the end of the trip.

Stepping through the metal gates and into the zoos, all of the smells filled his nose in an instant. So many animals, such a small place for them. The monkeys were first in their path and he couldn't help but scrunch his nose at the smell. Damn werewolf sense of smell was a bit overpowering at times. The full moon was two weeks away though thankfully so he didn't need to worry about that.

Sauntering over to the fence along the monkey house, he leaned over the guardrail and looked into the fencing-made-house they were being held in. The sounds filled his ears and caused him to take a step back. One of the other kids in their group, Mike, made a comment about Jordan being at a family reunion. Jordy simply ignored him - for once - not wanting to get kicked out of the zoo so soon.
